Safety & Community Standards
Last updated: 3 September 2026
Game Face puts live camera and microphone at the table, so we take safety seriously. This page sets out our community rules, what happens when you report someone, and how to reach us. It is written to meet our duties under the UK Online Safety Act as a small user-to-user service.
Community rules
On camera, in chat, in your profile photo, or anywhere else in the app, you must not:
- Broadcast or display nudity or sexual content.
- Threaten, harass, bully, or target another player.
- Post hateful content directed at a person or group.
- Cheat, collude, or use bots/automation against real players.
- Post spam, scams, or unlawful content.
- Impersonate another person or organisation.
Your tools
Every player can, from any tile at the table: mute a player’s audio, block a player (hides their video, audio and chat from you everywhere, persisted to your profile), and report a player (threats, nudity, harassment, cheating, spam, an offensive profile photo, or other). A table majority can also vote to remove a disruptive player from that room.
What happens after a report
Reports are stored with the reporter, the reported player, the reason, and any note you add. We commit to reviewing and acting on safety reports within 24 hours. Depending on severity and history, the outcome can be:
- No action, where a report does not show a rule was broken.
- A warning on the account.
- A timed ban (hours to months) from tables and sign-in.
- A permanent ban for severe or repeated conduct.
Some enforcement is automatic and precedes human review: three unique reporters against the same player inside 24 hours automatically flags the account for review, and five unique reporters who shared a table with a player and reported their profile photo automatically hide that photo (a neutral avatar takes over) pending review — this is enforcement that protects other players immediately, and is always reviewed by a human afterwards, who can restore the photo if the report was wrong.
Ban reasons
Accounts are banned for breaking the community rules above — most commonly nudity or sexual content on camera, harassment or threats, hateful conduct, or confirmed cheating/collusion. A ban notice states the reason.
Appeals
If you believe a report, photo hide, or ban was made in error, email hello@twofifthsdesign.com with your player ID (Settings) within 14 days of the action. We review every appeal and reply with the outcome.
Complaints
If you have a wider complaint about how we run safety on Game Face — not a single report or ban, but our policy or process — email the address above with “Complaint” in the subject line. We will acknowledge it and respond with our position and any action taken.
